Destroyed another tire in a Sydney Pothole!

Like the title says, I managed to destroy another tire in one of our ample supply of potholes here in Sydney last night.

20 Inch rims don't help the whole pothole survivability story either.

After using the "goo" and inflator the tire appeared to hold some air, but after a slow crawl home (probably < 2Km), it was quite flat.

I have a question for the forum members. I thought I would just jack it up and take the wheel to a tire place to get the tire fixed/replaced but I don't have a jack! I looked in my wife's S3 and also no jack!

I did some googles on it, and it looks to me like a generic scissor jack would be ok to use on the designated pinch-weld.
If someone could chime in on that I would be really grateful.

Cheers.

And here was me thinking it was just tte IK that had suck poor roads 🙄

Yep more cutbacks from Audi !
Early cars had a jack (I had a 2016 TTS which did), i’ve since had a 2019 and a 2020 mk3 and neither came with a jack, I fitted the whole spare wheel set up as I’m not a fan of the repair gunk !

Sydney roads are terrible after all the rain - I've been driving the Touareg and still worrying about the potholes.
My 2017 TT came with a jack. Interestingly, my SLK has a collapsible space saver under the boot floor. I'm going to test fit it to the TT and maybe get another if it fits. I'll post results if anyone is interested.
