If you're still having trouble finding your car's factory fitted options, check out the brochures linked as PDF flies below, or run a Google search for the TT Brochure for your year and country as the options and colors codes are often listed. If all else fails, you can always take your vehicle's VIN to an Audi Dealership and they should be able to provide you with a list of all the factory fitted options that came with your car.

If not in your Owners Manual or Service Booklet, the VIN tag may be found inside the trunk/boot by lifting the trunk floor and looking at the rear most section of the styrofoam inserts -

You can also find the engine code inside the engine bay on the ID tag located near the coolant bottle on the right side. Here you can see the letters 'BUB' which is the 3.2 VR6 engine code.

PR Codes: What they Mean and Where to Find them -

Certain parts on your vehicle, such as brakes, suspension, drivetrain and trim, require specific identification through what is known as a PR Code. These codes identify exactly which parts were fitted to your vehicle when it left the factory. When using the online parts websites, be sure you have the correct world location, year, and model since Coupes and Roasters will be fitted differently.

PR codes can be found on the data sticker or VIN tag located in the service book or on the body of the vehicle, usually in the boot /trunk. The data sticker will contain most the information about your vehicle such as color code, engine and transmission codes and PR codes.

If your data sticker is missing or if you want a complete list of all the PR codes beyond what's on the VIN sticker simply take your VIN to your local Audi and they should be able to provide you with a complete print out of all PR codes associated with your car. Here's an example of the PR codes for my 2007 Roadster which my local Audi Service Center was kind enough to provide me.

Looking up PR codes -

In this example, I will walk you through how to determine which springs are installed in your vehicle.

Per the Workshop Manual note shown below, there are two ways to verify the coil springs on your vehicle -

• Color code
• Spring allocation PR number located on the vehicle data plate.

If the color code (colored dots) are no longer visible on the springs, then you can use the PR codes listed on your data sticker or VIN tag.

To figure out what the PR codes mean, you'll need a VAG PR decoder like the one here.

In the example below, this is my vehicle tag with the two PR codes needed to determine the correct spring replacements. Once you have them, go to a parts website like this one, and look for the part number with both PR codes to find the correct OEM part number.
