Just bought 2003 TT, had to fix hazard switch but now heated seat switches will not stay locked in position, the locking bar traps the three centre switches but not the two outer heated seat switches. Any idea`s.

I thought the switches were all clipped together, so should move (or not move) as a unit. It's ages since I've had mine out, but I was sure that they connect up somehow, perhaps a moulding in the side of the switch body.
They may have moved when you were doing the others. The locking plate does secure them, I do recall when I replaced my drivers heated seat switch earlier in the year, that was an absolute sod to get it to sit right and lock in. Just keep trying, you'll get it.
Thanks guys, I kept trying and finally I heard a click and the three centre buttons and now the drivers heated seat button were now locked in, passenger side heated seat button was still loose, I pulled and twisted the locking bar on that side then heard the click, all were now locked. You cannot see anything and I have no idea why took so long to secure switches.
