HELP! Audi TT 2.0 Alloys

Hello

I’m looking into swapping my stock 18‑inch wheels to an aftermarket set of 8J x 18 ET45 alloys for my 2007 Audi TT. Before I pull the trigger, I want to make sure I’m not going to run into serious fitment issues.

Will 245/40/18 tyres still be safe / appropriate on 8″ rims?
Should I plan for spacers (and if so, how thick) or will the wheels fit clean without them?

Thanks in advance
Alf.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm not actually sure what size my current alloys are, but the tyre size on them is 245/40/18.
The new alloy size is 8.0x18, 5/112, ET45, CH 66.5.
I know the centre bore on these alloys is 66.5, while my TT has a 57.1mm, so I’ll need to use spigot rings.
