Help with 2008 Tt

What now ?
I’ve been having problems with my temp gauge working then going flat and not reading. I’ve hooked up diagnostics while driving and the temp is fine.
I’ve replaced ect sensor - replaced cluster and still continues to do the same
Is it the engine control unit that’s not relaying the information ?

Hi, If like the MK1 there are 2 outputs from the CTS, 1 to ECU & 1 to the dash. Did you replace with a genuine OEM sensor, not OEM "Quality?

My first attempt was with a cheap one and it did the same thing. Then I went and got an Audi one and still

Hi, Poor connection between CTS & dash then. Difficult one, have you checked the connection & cables at the ECT?

Hi, I would look at the connections under the bonnet at & around the coolant sensor/CTS, they are likely to get damaged first & could be your prob.
