I'm looking for some help and advice on the best parts to source to replace the Lower Control Arms on my Wife's Mk1 quattro.
She was driving it home (slowly, thank God!) and the rear offside wheel decided it didn't want to be so attached to the rest of the car anymore and as you can see from the photo's (and I now know it's a common problem!) is that the control arm fork has snapped at the wheel.
I've done a bit of research and I'm pretty comfortable doing the work myself, so all good with that but I'd like advice and hopefully a link or two to the right replacement parts to but.
I don't mind if they're adjustable or not, but I would rather avoid a like for like replacement as the forks are like 1.5mm thick and I don't want this to happen again.
So what do I need - I want to do both sides and some parts I've seen come with bushes and some don't, so what 1) arms do you recommend
and 2) what bushes will do the job with them
Many thanks in advance for your help and expertise!
