Hi everyone,
I only bought my beautifull 2011 Audi TT Sline Tfsi Quattro stronic two weeks ago with 74k on the clock.
I have not driven it much but took it out the other night, whilst driving the engine and epc light came on and it ran very lumpy with a misfire. I stopped the car and the started it again so the same problem so started to lump it home, then the lights went out and it ran fine. I still drive it gently. I had to stop someone on the way home which was about 15 miles away, turned the engine off restated and no problems. About 5 mins later the lights were back on so i continued to limp the car home.
I took car to the garage yesterday, the tools me cyclinder two had a misfire and potentially cyclinder 4, they did the standard replacing coil packs, this sorted part of the misfire, but after 5 mins the light came back on and there was still a slight misfire. So they did a compression test and the rails were 180, 130, 180,180. They are going to investigate further next week.
I am now worried i have a large bill ahead of me, should i be? Or could it be something simple and cheapish.
The car has been regularly serviced by audi and only service about 2k ago. When i bought it it ran so smooth so much so you you could not even really feel it ticking over.
