Zapp has been blurring out numbers for a while now expecting payment for info.

so what sources are there now for part numbers?

lllparts are not much good for small items.

The "blurred out" numbers on 7zap, all you need to do is click on the part and the "where to buy" page will pop up that has the full part number. So you don't actually need to pay for anything, just need to click on it to see suppliers and then you get the full/actual part #.

Keep in mind the part number on the parts you find on your car, and the replacement part number may be different while still being the exact same part.

I ran into this with my Tiguan sunroof drain tube. The tube in the vehicle had one part number, the replacement had a different one. When I questioned the parts guy, he explained that the replacement part is generic, meaning it was not specific to the Tiguan during assembly in the Factory, and could be used on different vehicles.

VAG does this all the time.
