Quattro rear suspension too low, Vogtland spring bouncing

Hello!
I have a 2000 quattro. It had a standard suspension, I bought Bilstein B4 shock absorbers and Vogtland springs. All the bushings have been replaced. The four wishbones at the back are new, Lemförder at the top, adjustable at the bottom. The mechanic who installed them did something wrong, because there is only 10.5 cm of space between the lower and upper spring plates at the back, which is why the spring is knocking. If I move the lower wishbone higher, will the spring travel increase, or how can I solve this? The Vogtland spring should look exactly the same as the factory sports suspension, but it didn't. Thank you for your help!
Gábor from Hungary.

By "spring knocking" do you mean that the coils are hitting each other on compressing? They do look too close together in your photo, and I can't see if that pic is taken at full droop or ride height.

It looks like there's a bunch of "dead" coils up top and maybe 1 1/2 coils actually supporting the weight.

Hi, What is the distance between the wheel centre & the arch? 370mm standard, 350mm sports suspension, front & rear.
Hoggy. :)
Hi, Appears to be the wrong springs then, difference is too great for missing spacers.
Hoggy. :)
Thanks, I wrote to the Vogtland dealership about the problem. I'm sad that something is wrong, in the meantime I think I'll rebuild the factory rear spring, because I don't dare drive with it. Anyone bought this set, it's good for everyone, but not for me :(

Szia, az MK1 utángyártott rugói rémálom tudnak lenni, annyi különböző rugó/távtartó stb. van a gyári szettben. Sok szerencsét!

The factory spring was 5 blue dots, it was a standard suspension. I hope this is a good starting point, compared to this the Vogtland is 2.5cm shorter at rest. It just got softer somehow and collapsed. So the rear wishbone adjustment doesn't help, the spring needs to be replaced. Thanks for the help!

From the picture of the springs in their box, they look like quite soft very short (so low) springs.

I’ll attach a picture of my std OEM rear springs for comparison.

Sounds like they sent the wrong spring. Is there a part number on it that you can use to independently verify whether it is the correct spring for the 2000 Q?

5x blue dots / 5x violet dots are both PR code 0YL without a shim, but different years.

With different PR codes the 5x violet springs did run with a 2.5mm shim after the VIN number shown.
As Hoggy said, springs are a minefield as there are many MANY different versions even before you get into the murky depths of aftermarket...

I spoke to the Vogtland representative today, they are investigating the case, they are very helpful in the matter. In the meantime, I rebuilt the factory rear springs, so the rear height is 355mm, the front 350mm. This can be used until the matter is resolved, the Vogtland spring remains in the front. The representative also advised me to make a spacer for the rear as a test to see if it will knock up. I was thinking that a spacer should be made of some hard rubber.
The spring thread has come together, supposedly this is fine, because it is a so-called progressive spring. This is where we are at the moment.

A cikkszámot jövő hét közteszem.

Szia!
Milyen hosszúak a rugóid?
