Had a new stereo fitted professionally.

Given the old navigation plus RNS-E unit to sell on. I have no radio code for it. Not in the books, on a card, in the glove box etc.

I have looked at the radio to try and find a serial number but can't find one. So now I have no idea. Please could someone advise? I have attached a photo of the sticker atop my stereo, is one of the numbers on there the serial num??

Can't sell without a code and am stuck

You'll need to get the AUZ number of the RNS-E. I'm not sure if it's printed on the outside unit, but it should be available through the menus or through vag-com. You used to be able to contact Audi directly through their online chat with the AUZ and the car's VIN, and they would send you the code, but I've heard that they are no longer doing that. You might try your local dealer or one of the various listings on ebay to get the radio code.

RNS-E serial number will appear at the bottom of the PIN code entry screen when you power it on.

PIN entry is not required if the car supplies the same VIN over CANBUS as was present when the PIN was last successfully entered.

Many eBay sellers will provide code if Audi are unhelpful.

Looking through search, I found this thread. So forgive my ignorance. If I disconnect the battery in my 2012 TTS with RNS-E will it go into safe mode and need the security code entered? I'm having a hard time finding my radio code. Can I find the radio code through one of the hidden menus?

Thanks!

You won't need your radio code if you disconnect your battery.
The code is only required if you are fitting an RNS-E from another vehicle.
