Has anyone attempted this and got both successfully working?

I've attempted this morning to recode a fellow forum member's car for both, and whilst the RNS-E is working fine for all other functions, it does not detect the AMI. AMI has power, is detectable via VAGCOM but does not appear on the MEDIA screen of the RNS-E

I have the latest 10.6 version of VAGCOM/VCDS, but if anyone has successfully got this working, can you share info about the codings? :)

Dunno if this info helps at all?....

we found out the following:

The new AMI only works with the RNS-E MY 2010 when the car has a CANgateway (019) and must be coded for that (tick Mediaplayer 2E) the rns-e must be on ……..727 (depending on the steering wheel coding).

Cars that have this CANgateway:

Audi A3/8P (MY2010 and >)

Audi TT/8J

Audi A4/8K with concert radio (not the older types A4!!!!!)

Audi A5/8T with concert radio

Above info is from this thread...

Got it working tonight for the owner:)

For this particular TT, obviously using VAGCOM/VCDS, the RNS-E coding needed to be changed to 0604725, AMI coding needed to be changed to 020302, and then a full reset of the RNS-E was needed - result was the iPod and USB appearing in the media screen, with full on screen information :)

Thank you for posting this! I swapped my RNS E for a better condition one that wasn't coded for AMI and VCDS has multiple places that it acknowledges for AMI, and this clarifies which one to enable.
This worked for me like a charm (except I used 0604625 instead for my RNS-E coding because of the NAR Phone option).
