ive done a bit of searching and although ive seen figures and peoples opinions thrown about i have yet to find and S-TRONIC ttrs with the loba hybrid fitted?

is there any around? looking at TTRS' in the coming months, and had my heart set on the S-tronic, but like the idea of the stage 3 bringing the car right up to date performance wise, and can imagine it would be devastatingly effective with the S-tronic box. i understand the torque limit would be an issue, but id imagine with the various gearbox mapping avail now this might not me as much of an issue.

any links to threads with any more info would be appreciated.

There are rs3 Loba turbo cars running trouble free so go for it shouldn't be an issue.

Not aware of any in the UK which is a little disappointing. There's a Loba manual car that's just run an 11.2 1/4m so with an S tronic, you would expect to see that in the 10's. As to the box limits, I think it will handle it, loba is primarily better in 5000+ range over the stock turbo so it's doubtful there are any increases in peak torque (over Stage 2) anyway and it's peak torque that kills things.

There's a few big turbo cars kicking around now, 2 in the UK, both APR offerings although not sure if they are finished and up and running yet, Also, there are a couple of more in Europe, 1 of which is a Rothe tuned S tronic car in Germany running around 580ps, the acceleration video is insane but there was a hint of clutch slip in that. As far as I'm aware no performance benchmarks from these cars yet.

yea this is what i found a bit of a worry, alot of, yea it will be fine, but non i can see actually done!

but yea thinking about it, it does make sense that it wouldnt be hugely different from a stage 2 torque wise, i wouldnt be trying to go mad with it, i think just the hybrid would do me, just strange not to find it done before over here, but then again i suppose there isnt a massive amount of lo500 kitted cars over here yet. cheers for the info tho! good to know it seems possible, like you say, from the performance figures from both stage 2 s-tronics, and lo500 manual cars, you get a pretty good idea the results would be quite something.

what you have to decide is whether or not there are any real benefits going with a Loba on the Stronic in the UK ?
A stage 2 stronic is fast enough up to 100 mph,the Loba will pull away above 120 mph.
So it depends how often you will go above 120 mph I suppose.
There are Stronics running Loba kits in Germany
Hperformance have done quite a few cars, but can't guarantee what Hybrid turbo is used on their stage 4
Here are their graphs for what we would call stage 2 and 3

This dyno was from their test hybrid turbo car,I believe they have squeezed a few more ps out of the kit since.
I think their best with a stage 2 car is 460 ps on the dyno they use ?

yea your completely right, i have to remind myself its alot of money just for the car to have longer legs, ill definitely take it to stage 2 and leave it be for a while before hand, its a hell alot of money for the gain really.
yup
