What is the difference between 180 and 190 bhp model?
Can anyone clarify the differences between the 180bhp TT Mk1 (8N) and the 190bhp version.
Was it simply an engine remap, or did Audi upgrade the Turbo and other stuff etc.
Were there any other differences that were introduced in Sep 2005 too?
Parkers suggests the 190 bhp model was produced between 01 Sep 2005 - 24 Apr 2006.
I have owned 2 8N TT's in the past, both 225 bhp models. I am now looking for manual, front wheel drive only
car with the later 190 bhp engine due to the small increase in performance of this model and the reduced weight
of the front wheel drive version. I have driven both the quattro and front wheel drive version, and in balance, I personally found the lighter car front wheel drive car a little 'sweeter' to drive, and the way I drive, I did not notice or benefit from the difference in grip offered by the quattro.
I am sure this has been discussed in the past, but I could not find a definitive answer.
