I'm the proud new owner of a 190 2006 '06 model as of a few days ago, hence the forum search for chat about this model. With regards to the above, you could say these models, aswell as the BHP increase, are some of the 'newest' TT's out there, as they were the last to roll off the production line.

Any other 190 owners out there who post on the forum?

As already mentioned ... I suspect the only difference in terms of engine will be the 'map' as per on other VAG 1.8t FWD models (e.g. Golf 4, Seat Leon etc.) where they offered 150 & 180 versions.
Again as said previously they all re-map the same - should get just over 200 bhp & more importantly lots more torque in my experience.

Is there a difference in the road tax band between the 150, 180 & 190 FWD TT ?

As on Golf 4 - a 180 is Band K ÂŁ290 .... & a 150 is Band J ÂŁ265
(On the Golf 4 the 180 got a 6 speed box & bigger brakes (I think) ..... were all FWD TT's the same in terms of brakes & gearbox ? )
The 190 is ÂŁ265 as I've just put a year on mine, although I think until recently it was ÂŁ255 per year.

Regarding a few posts above, yes loads more boot space on the FWD, also a lot lighter, so a much better 0-60 time than the 180 Q's, and of course better fuel consumption. Overall a fantastic model, I love mine! :D
