Looking to replace the pair of Bosch Aero blades fitted by the dealer nearly 2 years ago. They're still fine after 10K miles but they're noisy! Does anyone have any suggestions of a reliable brand/model that does the job quietly?

Thanks!

Hi - I've replaced the wiper blades on a number of cars with Bosch and found them to be very good and quiet. Those on the TT were the last ones I replaced and those were Bosch Aerotwin. Fitted a couple of years ago and still good.

I don't think you will find better really.

Few years back now, but I ended up buying a set of Valeo blade's (x-trim or tri trim or something like that that)..... pretty sure through a recommendation found on this site, but I might be wrong.

Either way they are very good, no noise at all, even on a dry screen.

One minor point to note is that mine do have the Valeo brand name in white on them... not massively noticeable... and personally I like the look, but some may not.

I generally replace mine every year regardless of mileage. Rubber and silicone eventually breaks down and hardens when exposed to UV especially if your car spends most of the day uncovered. If they squeak, shudder or streak, it's time for new ones. I've tried Bosch, Valeo, and even PIAA and Michelin. To be honest, I didn't find that much difference in performance. I typically buy the least expensive name brand over the cheap no-names.

I use Valeo Silencio

As above, they do have the Valeo logo in white on one of the end caps, but on a RHD car it's on the side which is overlapped by the arm so not very visible

New Bosch aero twins on mine not long ago and no complaints

I had to get a new screen just before Crimbo due to a half brick/windscreen interface  and Autoglass who were my insurance company recommended fitter of choice, insisted that I replace the blades due to contamination from the broken glass.

The downside was the fee of £51-70   that they insisted on me paying for Bosch Aeroblades.
Fortunately, I work for one of the biggest independant Motor Factors in Scotland and was able to get them "considerably" cheaper than that, due to the staff discount.

They're excellent, really! I even got refunded for one of the pairs that came with a use by date of December 2021. I asked why it was the case and Audi Leeds just refunded me without replying to my query. It's old stock which is why they're being flogged at this price. But they arrive well packaged and the first pair I put on a month ago has been performing brilliantly and muted, just as I expected the Bosch Aerotwins would be but aren't.

Been using PIAA Si-Tech wipers for the last 3 years and only now started needing replacing but getting a full set of OEM for less than the price of a single PIAA blade is a no brainer. Turned up on Friday front screen was cleaned and blades were replaced in less time than it takes to brew a cuppa.
Thank you for the heads up.

Don’t know if I’m being dense here or Audi Sytner are stitching me up, but I ordered them from that link and the pack of two blades they’ve sent me are driver side only?

They seem to be keyed the same at the top so they will both fit driver side but not passenger.

Packaging seems to indicate it should be two different length blades as well and they are the same, can anyone confirm?

I bagged a set of the Audi Wiper Blades being sold by Audi Sytner a while back using the Ebay link above. Went to fit them and discovered they've given me 2 x drivers side blades as it won't fit on the passenger side stalk / connection. :(

Literally won't click down but both fit the drivers side stalk.

Wondering if anyone else was provided incorrect parts and did Audi Sytner resolve it for you? Strange as the box is the genuine Audi set branded as: 8J2998002

Yeah they did exactly the same to me, I asked if they could send me a passenger, or even just send me 2 x passenger sides and I’d pay for another set but they just bluntly insisted I sent the whole lot back to them.

Didn’t bother ordering another set in case they just did it again.

Very strange, I bought two pairs and they're all the right size. It might be worth raising this in the "Comment to the seller" section when ordering, asking them to ensure the right size will be posted.
