Hi
Hope someone can help me? I have removed my cigarette lighter and using the so called 12v to go to two 12v dc to 5v dc transformers for my in car camera and in car lighting. For some reason it keeps blowing my online fuse I am using and I am sure that all the units on would not pull that much amps.
Has anybody got any ideas?
Thanks

What else would it be called?

Are you sure you've got your polarities correct? If you cross polarity you short positive to ground.
Center pin on the lighter socket is positive.

Is there some reason why you entitled the post “…voltage”? and not “…blowing fuse”?
And you call it “so-called 12v” ?
Have you measured it and found something different?
By the way, if you’re googling for help they’re normally called dc-to-dc convertors.

Yeah I think OP must have meant amperage but the fuse in these cars is at like 20A as mentioned by Hoggy--that's quite a decent current for the cig ligther socket TBH. At 13.8V that's actually about 275W of power available (though this might be shared by more than one lighter socket, not sure).

That converter pictured provides 25W of 5V power, even if it were only 50% efficient, that would be 50W draw on the 12V line, but we don't know what converter(s) OP is using.

OP can you take a picture of yours? Also what fuse rating is the inline fuse?
