Hi everyone, apologies if there is a thread on this topic already, but would really appreciate if anyone has experienced the same issue as mine.
I have the infamous oil leak problem on my Audi TT MK2 2.0 TFSI and after inspecting it, found the valve cover to be the point of leakage. I will be replacing the valve cover and the gasket, however when checking the bolts holding the cover in place, I noticed some of them were loose.
I tightened all of them by hand without overdoing it, but two of the bolts would allow additional tightening after a minute or two. I kept an eye on them and I know they are not unscrewing themselves, it's more likely the actual thread on the engine block gives way.
If anyone has had the same issue as me, would you say my assumption is right, or is it something else?
What could be the potential solution to this - I was thinking of getting a new set of bolts but with a 1mm increased diameter?
Many thanks in advance.
