A question about blue haldex controller and the V6 3.2 DSG..

Hello folks,

I have a blue haldex performance controller and wondered if its worth putting onto my 3.2 DSG?

Does the 3.2 already have a performance controller and if not, is the blue one compatible with the DSG setup?

Also..... where can i buy the pressed metal gasket from for fitting the haldex controller.

My local Audi dealer only shows an o'ring or a nylon seal of some sort as the seal for this model and not the metal gasket.

My stock -00 controller had a nylon seal, like a rubber band. That has to close to impossibe to fit without taking the rear subframe out, as it was hard enough with the metal gasket. It could be that later models have the metal gasket, I bought mine from Audi. First they tried to give me that seal for stock controller, but in the end got the right one.

It is quite fiddly to install. Lost some Haldex oil while doing it, now I'm a bit worried if I should top that up or not...

3.2 has the same controller as 1.8, so putting the Haldex on is a worth while move. Easiest difference to spot on a dry road is that it doesn't lift the nose as much when accelerating. Should also offer more oversteer throttling out from a corner. Can't tell much more at this point, have to take her to the track to find out more :evil: :evil:

i have one fitted to mine, mine is manual, however that shouldnt make any difference.

with regards to the handling oversteer does not really happen on a dry road, however it does reduce the understeer a lot and makes the car handle in a more neutral fashion. oversteer can be obtained in snowy conditions. Acceleration is better, the nose does not lift as much, but turn the traction control off and it does not even scrabble.

it may seems like a large outlay, but it is well worth fitting i would never change back
