I'm running Forge on stage2+ with forge induction kit nicely made bit kit.

I've also been looking at intercoolers so I'm very interested in this thread. Do you use the Forge replacement cooler or the front mount Twintercooler along with the Oem cooler? I've read elsewhere that the Twintercooler can cause lag and restrict air flow to the radiator causing overheating issues in hot weather. How true this is I'd be interested to know.

Spoke to r tech performance they told me the forge twintercooler is "crap" and to go for the airtec stage 2 cooler

 

One firms opinion. They probably have a tie in with airtec.

IMO I'd not be impressed by another dealer dissing other people's products it's un professional. I'm running full forge intercooler and it's very well made. Long term who knows it's early days, but I've not heard of any problems with them I used to have highly tuned Works GP Mini running Forge intercooler again it did the job with no problems.
Just doing the intercooler as a mod isn't going to make whole lot difference unless your using it as part of a upgrade horsepower package.

 

If you read my previous sentence properly he wasn't calling forge as a brand crap he was saying the twintercooler that they make for the 2.0 tfsi engines were crap, he did also recommend another brand apart from airtec

It's all about attitude Forge make the cooler same thing.Im no expert but they are well made as for working as they should, that's another subject We all have a opinion which is good, I was only giving you mine on the Forge product I purchased.
If your modding up I would imagine there's not whole load difference with any of the replacement intercoolers. I went Forge as I wanted to keep all mods under there name just my OCD.

The OP is referring to the twintercooler as opposed to the full replacement that you have fitted. The twintercooler is a different proposition altogether, and I believe that it is the twintercooler which was referred to as crap. This seems to be a fairly common opinion online when it comes to K04 cars. Nothing compares to first hand experience or course, so it would be nice to hear from someone who has fitted a twintercooler.

I realised that from OP Forge quality IMO is good. As for the twintercooler I've seen them and quality is same as all there products As for the way they perform like all products is subjective.
