Hi all, well this is the first chance i had to write. I picked up my beauty at the weekend. drove it around all weekend VERY very nice. She (can I say she or is it a he...she) sticks to the road like glue. first time owning a performance car, so is a big change to ride than the family hatch's im used to. Dealer I got her form was gutted. he got it as a part ex last year and has been using it himself since. only the times being as they are, has he had to let it go. that made me feel better though , (that he was gutted :lol: )
anyways the Cam belt is in need of changing on age rather than mileage. We have used a German specialist for a few years on our A4 avant and been pleased with his work and prices. I been quoted £475 for Cam belt fitted from Audi with no mention of any other parts included. our local specialist has Quoted me £310 for Cam belt, tensioner and other bits, plus a new water pump. How that sound to you. sounds cheep to me. question is, is it to cheep?
