I have found that if you turn the volume down when the women speaks if you have mfsw etc then the chime reduces volume next time too.

I dont know if it works with using normal volume on head unit though...

I believe again, this depends on your phone and its BT capabilities and if it pairs with 100% compatability then I think there is an option to "used phone ring tone".

I don't personally know how to do it but Im sure its been mentioned here or on other forums. But mobiles/Audi Phone prep and making them work isnt the easiest of task, let alone syncing phone book and other features...

Although I have now got my HTC working with it after downgrading the rom on my phone about 2 level [smiley=bigcry.gif]

Thanks, but I've tried those, I have a mfsw and have tried turning this down upon the start of the chime, alas it still sounds like big ben chiming in a small car.

I used to have a nokia 6300, now its a blackberry pearl and they both ring and chime like the loudest dinner gongs. if it helps i don't have the satnav screen so my only menu is on the dis. I hope means someone will flukishly know the answer. But many thanks for you help so far

This was mentioned about a month ago, when you turn on the ignition, hold down the voice button on the steering wheel for a few seconds and then you can alter the volume.

Try searching back through previous threads for more details but it worked with mine!

Anyone managed to do this with the Roadster?

Reason being that the Voice command button is disabled on the TTR. I would try it myself but am without the car until the weekend (Mrs has half inched it, pft!).

Thanks in advance.

Hi you two!

Try getting the voice button activated. I've had mine done and also sorted out full SDS to work with the RNS-E satnav unit.

SDS isn't activated in the TT at all, but the voice button for phone operation is there for the Coupe, just not the Roadster. It can be sorted easily with a Vagcom cable, (as can beeps when you set the alarm and a few other things.)

There are instructions on this and other forums to do both. Getting SDS activated does involve more, but it is well worth doing. Still not as good as TomTom, but at least now I can speak instructions rather than having to spell everything!

Good luck
Tony

Is this true, does it mean I have to hold down the button at the SAME time as turning on the ignition I wonder, will have to give it a go as these chimes are annoying me now. Can they be turned off by VCDS?
