Bola FLC review for a track car

Here's my quick review of Bola FLC wheels. I was running standard TTS 9J wheels from Audi before, did some track days on them. Now switched to FLC 8.5J.
For the test I did the same track and car setup as the last time, the only differences being:
  • yet more HP
  • wheels
So same brakes, tyres, even ambient temperature etc. the only difference being I could apply more power to lighter wheels (19kg less overall).

Pros of FLC over Audi:
  • weight
  • weight/price ratio (you can go lighter for more money)
  • looks (subjective, but I prefer it to FLB or CSR)
  • lots of caliper clearance
  • wide range of offsets, widths and sizes available
  • more rapid acceleration and stopping
  • wheels stay cooler for longer

Cons:
  • some fine edges and recesses make it hard to clean (FLB even more so)
  • the shape of the outside profile tends to accumulate dirt, even in wet (same for FLB)
  • the outside rim edge is thin, may not survive curb contact (likewise)
  • takes more time for tyres to warm up (due to bigger caliper clearance and more ventilation I suppose)

Overall, on the positive side I noticed I can do one more very heavy breaking (like 110-30mph) until I see any brake fade.
This may not seem like much, but makes all the difference on a track. It's a difference between enjoying the day and constantly worrying about your safety.
Once through to a long straight, the brakes cool down and you're back to square one.
The only negative for me really is keeping them clean takes more effort, but it's just my OCD, perhaps others would not care. I did ceramic-coat them proper before installation but that didn't help much.

Very nicely written, in depth review on these!
What tyres / sizes are you running out of interest?
I think some people would benefit from knowing your car spec too - lowered/wheel offset and if you had any rubbing - I get asked this alot

I have found the same issues with you - on my old Bola CSR's, with the lip AND all my other wheels for brake dust build up
I have also had 2 of these 3 sets of wheels ceramic coated and fine the same results, don't seem to make any difference - I actually think due to heat of fast road/track work the coating may soften/bake and actually have the dust imbed almost worse

Stage 2+ from R-Tech, nothing fancy. Standard suspension setup with rear ARB and front ALK.
