I am trying to find some of those Diamond Car Mats what cover most of the carpet with diamond stitched faux-leather as in the link below:

Many websites don't mention the first gen TT as an option, has anyone managed to find diamond car mats for the Mk 1 TT?

Keen to hear any ideas about nice car mat upgrades?

Has anyone tried these ones? They are half the price of all the others

 

Don’t buy from AliExpress. Bad quality.

Better get the mats from www.maxxcarmats.com with high quality and cheaper price

Cheaper price ? Aliexpress mats are around £40 with postage, maxx ones are £111 without shipping. I'd risk the £40 ones and find out for myself how good/bad they were !

 

I will be buying a few sets of those mats for different cars from aliexpress. I cant say I have had quality issues in the past with different products.

 

Thats exactly my thoughts. Premium priced products often are extremely overpriced for little to no difference.

 

So I bought these mats off AliExpress, they got here in about a week which was surprisingly quick.

Unfortunately the fitment is not perfect at all, in fact it's so bad that the clutch and accelerator peddle are obstructed and can't be pushed all the way down. I trimmed a little off and the pedals are usable now and to be honest, Im pretty happy with them!

The material is a lightweight PU leather with a foam core so who knows how well they'll last.

I've got several compliments about them so overall they look good from a distance and I'm pretty pleased

 

 

Those do look nice!! Are they for the mk1 TT? The buyer I chatted with assured me they will make it specific.
I recently say a youtube clip, where the guy used a damp/wettish towl heated in the microwave and wiped his seats down with it. I think the first step was cleaner of some sort then the towel. Then he used a leather treatment/conditioner and followed with a heat gun on low. Overall I was impressed. My seats are similar to yours. I tried the heatgun part and it kinda removed the saggy parts. When I find the clip I will share..
