Clicking sound from rear wheel

HI,

My TT makes a clicking sound coming from the rear drivers side wheel. Its not a knock or clunky sound just a fast click which gets faster or slower depending on my speed. It only makes a noise when my tyres are rolling and sounds like a twig in a bike spoke almost. Ive had it for over a year now with no noticeable difference and the cars been in the garage a few times and never been picked up on plus an MOT. Its also had the wheels changed from 18 to 19" but still same noise.

Any idea what it could be?

Cheers

Have you replaced the relevant tyre since the noise started?

ok, so sherlock (as in me :) ) thinks can't be alloy or tyres. :)
presumably if something (e.g. dust shield as suggested) is hitting the wheel / disk etc then there should be a corresponding mark on the wheel / disk etc
might be worth popping wheel off to inspect?

I'll probably be banished from the forum for this [smiley=behead.gif] ....

but could it simply be a stone caught in the tyre tread?
I had a clicking noise. It got worse... turns out a stone was in my tread. No idea what the original clicking is/was though! Keep forgetting to check..
