The alarm on my TT mk2 seems to be going off randomly when locked. Keeps going off at night and annoying the neigbours.

Is there anyway I can temporarily deactivate the alarm?

I have had a look on the forum and it seems like you can do it via VCDS but seems expensive to purchase for this reason? Is there any other way OBD2??

Remove the 5A fuse under the bonnet and it will stop it trying to charge the siren unit batteries.
Might take a day ti go flat but then it will stop.

Have you tried using the button on the driver's door?

You might end up needing a new siren unit (located behind front wing/wheel arch liner) as these are known to fail due to age, they have rechargeable batteries on them that begin to fail. @darrylmg knows all about this issue
