P0299 is nothing to do with the ABS / ESP. See Ross Tech listing

Ths fault is very likely to cause lip home mode.

I've never heard of an ABS / ESP fault causing limp home mode so if your ABS light keeps coming on then you may have an unrelated fault in the ABS system. If so I'm surprised a code for this didn't come up or did you scan it with an OBD2 only reader?

Just to eliminate the obvious. You're not mistaking the Traction Control system normal operation for a fault are you? If you try and spin the wheels (very easy to do in this weather) then the ESP light will flash and the throttle will close to stop the wheels spinning.

Most OBD app can't read freeze frame code. It can only read active code. It cannot read Stored and pending DTC.

Define Limp mode? Tiptronic mode is not working and tranmission only shifting up to 3rd gear?
It started on the way home mate had all 4 wheels spinning then next I put my foot down and no power at all and no boost. Theres a odd noise past 2k of revs, also when I start the car from cold its quieter like the valves are closed. This esp abs fault pings up now and again.

My wheels did spin mate but since then I've had no boost and an odd noise at 2k plus the exhaust note is different as, well.

DSG or manual?

Buy a vacuum/boost gauge then connnect it to intake manifold where pcv is connected. If you don't see any pressure when you rev the engine the turbo failed. Turbo CHRA is cheap.

Turbocharged don't have limp mode only supercharged engines have limp mode. Why spend a lot of money on a car that depriciate the value so fast? If you want a faster car buy a RWD or mid engine. There is huge difference what it feels like when your being pull and being push.
Well only a guess with limp mode but I was told by a mechanic that!
Also the ttrs you don't know what I've paid for it and it was stage 2 when I bought it.
I've had a lot of fast cars and don't agree with the rear wheel drive had them and just wheel spin.
Just had a 600 brake focus Rs with 50k in it quick but not as quick as the ttrs stage 2 which is an absolute rocket. Mines done 30k by the way and got it for a good price so I wouldnt have thought it would depreciate to much.
