So yesterday I picked up my new 2009 TTS after what felt like the longest week in the world waiting (and a few crap nights of sleep as was so so excited).. 2 owners, 56k on the clock and now it's mine can't believe it!!

She is exactly, and more than I hoped.. So so rapid and fast and comfy, am in love!!!

So I thought would start a build thread, which would help me organise my bits!?

The car is mint condition am really lucky.. Windows ok, pebble rash is fine, arches fine, the front bumper and splitter is fine, the spoiler even is ok.. Windows work and don't sag, the Bose amp seems fine.. The Leather seats have a little baggy but here and there but I can live with it..

Things to do:
She's booked into RGS Motorsport in a few weeks time, for a dyno test and black box diagnostic.. See if she's still 272 horses strong... Will also allow me to see what needs to be done, so can be preventative with her care..

Have been looking at private plates too, tho they are costing around the same as a Ramair induction kit, and a stage 1 map!!?

At this stage thinking Defo an induction kit, but will see what RGS say and suggest after she's been on the rolling road..

Totally gutted as after a fantastic afternoon driving around yesterday, bloody scuffed an alloy doh! So that will need fixing too!?!

I will need a new set of Continentals too, in next few months so that's an investment right there, and to be fair more important that induction kits and all that shizzle..

Any thoughts or guidance, my wise TT brothers (as I am new to this, and your collective wisdom is huge!?!!)..

I also need to check the exhaust valve springs, and whether the recalls happened or not.. Also the dreaded cam belt I thinks not been changed either (doh!)..

Here's my new pride and Joy...

She's a beut.

Any cosmetic mods planned?

First thing is obviously a remap.... Being a 2009 just check the exhaust valve springs are ok/ and of not have been replaced under the recall.

Hey dude thanks for this appreciate it.. Right will check exhaust valve springs.. Thanks for that!

In terms of cosmetics, fancy changing the grey front grill, maybe as simple as just a black spray over the grey!?!

Hi and congrats on the TTS :)

I wouldnt bother with induction kit just save your money and just go for a stage 1 remap, mine is running 315-320bhp on liquid with an APR map. As you said above get the cambelt/water pump done asap for piece of mind and a full service inc plugs. Tyres will cost you around 500-600 for a set to so your already up at around ÂŁ1500 to spend now. I wouldnt spray your grill I would just look at a new one, plenty of options around to.

Some grill options here:

Hey. Danny1 thanks for post... Them grille options are awesome that all black and black badge option alllll day long!! Would have that tomorrow I like it so much.. I will read more into it and see how much and all that.. Are they easy to fit, could an average mechanic (me), do it ok!?

Will look into maps too, thanks for that.. Though have kinda convinced myself new tyres are priority, and give me that confidence if or when driving it a bit harder.. MOT is October so might get a decent service and fluid check then too..!?

I painted mine at first as a cheap alternative to start with, but once it was all done I loved the look of it! And it's stayed ever since. I like the RS grill but it's such a common grill now. Seems everyone has one. If I were to change I would have the facelift TTS grill.

As for changing it is a bit tricky. You have to remove the whole front bumper in order to unclip the retaining lugs.
