Ok so for the last few week iv been doing a lot or searching trying to find big brake kits for a decent price tag. Finally took the plunge and bought the 356x 32 6pot forge kit, with ds2500 pads.

They fit really nicely under my 19's and the stopping power for me in just amazing.

Here's some pictures.

My friend was doing a comparison, however you can't tell the size difference. The forge brakes are HUGE!

Hello,

Nice brakes!

On another note, I noticed in your signature it says that you have fitted a piper cross induction kit.

1. Has it made any performance change?
2. Has it made a noise change?

Any chance of uploading a photo?

Many Thanks

Hi mate. Mate in terms of performance I got before and after results on a dyno and yes it's help quite a fair amount I think it wat around 13 bhp il have to check the dyno sheet. Sound wise it's only a little louder.and a bit more meaty.but well worth doing il take a pic later for you.

They look quite nice!!!

Is it a difficult install to do?
Nah really easy. Brackets are a straight fit. So as easy as taking off a tyre and undoing some more bolts. Just very fiddely when changing brake lines and bleeding the system. I suggest if ur planning to do it make sure u have a toured wrench as some of the bolts are a rite pain.

very nice.

how much did u pay for that if u dont mind
is it possible to fit those whit my 18inch wheels or u got to have 19"s
They apparently can in some cases however u will need a spacer of 15 mm.

Mine are two months old with a proof of purchase but the car has been a write off so I got them for ÂŁ550 it has barely been bedded in. Really happy with the purchase.

You can never have big enough brakes in my opinion. If you end up with excessive stopping power you will only trigger the ABS, so with bigger brakes you get the maximum potential braking for the amount of road surface grip.

And why would an RS need bigger brakes than an S or a 2.0. Or even a diesel? They weigh roughly the same, have the same tyre contact patch size and, under anything other than trackday conditions they will be stopping from similar speeds. I suspect the faster models have bigger brakes because the marketing department wants a point of difference and there is more in the kitty for parts than the cheaper models.

bit over kill for a 2.0? std brakes are more than good enough for the output.
Standard brakes are good but no harm in upgrading if the car was standard. The OP has a remap looking at his sig which does warrant upgraded brakes really.
Lol if I'm upgrading my brakes it's not only about the braking power I need now. Which like you've guessed I have done re map and exhaust and filters and bits and bobs. But it what plans I have in the future lol. And for the price how can I of said no. As I need new disks and pads anyways. So if you see it from that way then makes mores since..........plus look at them lol.

I personally think that brakes and tyres are the most important bits on a car so you can never have big enough brakes 8)
couldn't agree more
