PANEL GAP

Hi All am new to this Forum and am looking for a TTS.
I have viewed a vehicle but have noticed this panel gap between the rear bumper and wheel arch. Could people have a look at their cars to see if they have similar gaps, as I have noticed another TT with a similar issue. There is no evidence of paint work either on the bumper or the wheel arch itself and no recorded write off's.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

It looks overly tight on the wheel arch flare, yet the gap is also wider at the top.
Having bought a car in the past with something similar on the front wing / bumper, I regretted it as long as I had that car, which was fine in all other respects.
Personally I'd walk away and forget that one.

I'd say that someone has either bumped the car from behind or the rear bumper has been removed and the bolts over tightened , causing the misalignment.

I had a similar issue on my TT after the garage took the front bumper off and over tightened. The amount of offset was clearly visible.

Thanks guys I take the point about panel adjustment, a bit of fettling could get it better aligned. Thanks TT Coupe for the photo, that's more in line but they don't seem to be in perfect alignment. My worry is always how difficult will it be to sell on when the time comes as much as will it niggle me on a daily basis.

How old is the car?

The older the car the less it's worth, I don't see that minor problem affecting the price too much on resale.

Thanks guys for the further input. Will probably speak to my local specialist and see what he says. The fact that there is likely to be something that can be done to improve it if necessary eases the worry.

The car is a 2012 and from a private seller, so in a couple of years time when I come to sell, the overall condition of the car will probably make this have little bearing on the ability to sell. Am just very fussy about my cars. Will also get a pre purchase inspection another set of eyes over the car and the ability to get it in the air and looked at underneath, will bring some peace of mind.
