Hi looking for some knowledge on vacuum system on my tt bam engine
Going to change n75 and diverter valve before it goes for map
It’s thrown up an over boost code and another saying diverter valve open circuit
Not owned the car long so hoping swapping this parts will be a solution to the problem.
Has an n249 delete with part just sat on top of engine still connected to sensor
Can anyone confirm is this n75 is for a tt 225 as nunber on n75 is a commonly used vw part

Cheers hoggy
if it’s had an n249 delete well currently by pass will it still throw the fault?
I’m assuming it can be mapped out of it.
I’ve ordered an oem n75 and diverter valve from Audi hoping that will solve the issue
Should the car run fine with no problems with the n249 bypassed and not mapped out?

Hi, N249 removed can also cause overboosting & limp mode. If removed it can prevent ECU dumping boost in emergency conditions.
Hoggy. :)

I’ve solved my issue with a new n75 valve
Not thrown up any codes since!

when you say no one appears to have properly mapped it out
Do you mean on this car?

Its only just had the pipe system delete when previous owner done a lot of work on the car.
I’m assuming it can be mapped out when I see the guys in a couple weeks?
Or will it be forever there doing nothing 😂

Yep, regarding the n249 who's mapping your car? Most tuners just change the table data - or in some cases a generic updated Bin file to add multi-map support using the brake and clutch pedals or cross control sticks..

I have never seen any reference to n249 being entirely removed on nefariousmotorsports.com or from Bill @ B5 but that doesn't mean it cannot be totally removed using the standard BAM ECU... I'm not sure about Ignitron standalone though, if anyone on here will know if people have successfully updated the Bin file, maybe 'auspicious character' and desertstorm will know if ignitron supports it's inclusion and removal

Yeah it just needs to be electronically connected and hidden away.

They've said a lot on the Website about things they've changed or removed which were poor in the actual bin file, so maybe they've found how to remove it?

Shame they don't have any costs for the 1.8t 20v only the TFSI

Are you having a multi-map installed, it's good they say they only do custom mapping as these cars are old and some are ropey some are better than new...
