What head unit do you have?

mine where really quiet after i installed an aftermarket HU, but fine with the standard one...when I get round to it I'll pulll them out put some decent ones in, then re-wire them so they are powered by the HU rather then being self amped as I assume the Line out from my HU does not have the correct output the standard ones require.

its an old sony CD/MP3 player from back in the day when my bro had a saxo. so about 9 years old.

I just needed something to put in while i save for a decent one.

So could it be my HU? I hope it is! Can't be arsed to mess around with it anymore and re-wire etc!

Cheers

I always find them pretty quiet but can't figure out how you change the fader to the back a bit more.

It has the BOSE system if this changes anything?

The balance option is easy to find but even after pressing every button I cannot find the fader. :?

that would certainly fit with my expereince (mines non Bose), I replaced the door speakers though (v easy) and it sounds better front only (back is so quiet) then it did with 4 original speakers working...so im not rushing to sort the rears

that's what i thought so wondered how the headunit would cause the prob. could it be the amp? i've got a spare Bose amp i could try in there, so will try that.
