It's definitely worth using this tool rather than a hole cutter or step drill, as it gives a smooth chamfered edge that looks OEM, especially when painted

I'll message you about postage

Hello!
I've just found this topic about PDC OPS.
Will it work also on my Audi A4 B8 TDi (2011) which doesn't have a MMI? There is just Concert radio.

And also your next topic about rear parking camera - will it work also without MMI? Do you know if yes or not?

Thank you for reply.

That's a very different platform, MLB vs the TT PQ35. Things are probably similar but you'd be better off asking on a more specific forum, perhaps Audi Sport?

Good morning everyone.
Followed the guidance from this topic especially @MT-V6 and thank you all. Everything done but unfortunately during the coding stage I faced an issue. Have to say that, since the control module is not easily find as a second hand, I purchased a brand new one the latest version 8P0919475Q. The module is of course not coded so I did the necessary coding:
Byte 0/bit 4 - Optical illustration active
Byte 1/Bit 0-3 - Automatic transmission & Bit 4-7 Right Hand Drive (RHD)
Byte 2/Bit 0-7 - Audi TT (8J) (here it was stated "Control module not coded" since is brand new)
Please see photos 1-3 attached.

As soon as I then press the "Do it!" button I faced a question shown in the 4 photo attached. Either option selected the, message "Out of range" (see photo 5 attached) occurred.

PLEASE, here I need your help on what values to use in those fields so the coding to be accepted.

This is usually when one of the bytes is not accepted.
I think that you should try to change Byte 2/Bit 0-7 - Audi TT (8J) with Audi A3 or similar.

I thought so, but because it is given in the options I chose that… Let try it! I will keep you updated. Thanks a lot for your response @lukeexecute appreciate it.

UPADATE
Following the suggestion of @lukeexecute (thanks a lot for responding with help), Byte 2/Bit 0-7 - Audi TT (8J) has been changed with Audi A3 3 door S-line and it worked!!! The other strange thing that has not been accepted is the Byte 1/Bit 4-7 Right Hand Drive (RHD). Only Left Hand Drive (LHD) passed the coding. Do not know the reason for that... I hope during usage will be fine.

I'm not sure why but no the RHD coding is not valid. I'm not sure if I said that anywhere else in this thread but it was the same for me. RHD factory spec cars still have this module fixed as LHD (A3 and R8 models)

@MT-V6 Are you aware whether a module such as 8K0919475AA would also work, seeing as on the bottom below this number, 8P0919475N is printed?
Not sure, I think I do remember someone asking in the past but can't remember the outcome. The only way of knowing would be to try it out. IPG has a 3C VW Passat one fitted if I remember correctly

My advice would be to get the correct 8P one unless you are up for experimentation

@MT-V6 thanks a lot mate, appreciated your response and info and I am glad to hear that this is the correct way to be done.
Something that I realized after the system worked but unfortunately after the bumper has been installed on the car, the 2 front-center sensors, most of the time show that they see an obstacle (indication three positions before the nearest to the bumper) although there is nothing in front of them. Sometimes they are fine. Do you have any opinion on this. Those 2 are those which have the plug in the straight line with the sensor where the outer one have them in 90 degrees.

Would be interesting to know if there's some sort of "bench test" possible to confirm they all work before being installed.

Can VCDS or OBDeleven detect the state of each individual sensor? I don't have this feature so no way to check myself.

Update - Evidently on later models you can do a 'thumb test' but I don't know if this would work on older model TT's.
