Hi all,
So a while back I was wondering about producing a hardtop convertible system for my roadster using fibre glass over a standard frame. However I decided (with input from my girlfriend...) that perhaps I shouldn't and instead have looked in to lining the inside of the soft top. I've found the ÂŁ400 ones that exist at the TTShop and wondered - how hard can it be to make something that fits that?
I'm going to use a similar system to the attach to the car as the TTShop version, but with Velcro on the cross bars rather than attaching straight to them as I want to be able to check inside for any mouldy build up etc.
Would anyone be interested in the dimensions/plans etc when it's done? I'm planning to keep it as simple as possible, but with an attempt for at least a semi-professional finish. Also any ideas people have to make it work as best as possible are greatly appreciated.
