Roadster Roof Liner

Hi all,

So a while back I was wondering about producing a hardtop convertible system for my roadster using fibre glass over a standard frame. However I decided (with input from my girlfriend...) that perhaps I shouldn't and instead have looked in to lining the inside of the soft top. I've found the ÂŁ400 ones that exist at the TTShop and wondered - how hard can it be to make something that fits that?

I'm going to use a similar system to the attach to the car as the TTShop version, but with Velcro on the cross bars rather than attaching straight to them as I want to be able to check inside for any mouldy build up etc.

Would anyone be interested in the dimensions/plans etc when it's done? I'm planning to keep it as simple as possible, but with an attempt for at least a semi-professional finish. Also any ideas people have to make it work as best as possible are greatly appreciated.

I have the TTShop one fitted and they make a massive difference to the interior :) got mine second hand for ÂŁ150 they are not worth ÂŁ400 that's for sure

I was going for a soft approach with Velcro and it wasn't great, it's hard to adhere to the frame. In the end I just got used to interior as it was... and then bought a hard top for it last week :).
Ok cheers mate, I was planning on going down the Velcro route too as I couldn't find any clip on style connectors for the roof rails. I've been keeping eye out for a hard top but it's hard to find the mounting kit. Thanks for replying too
