Hi

What is the correct SD Card Format for the map update.

I downloaded the full update and to clear my SD card I first reformatted it as MS-DOS (FAT). Loaded the two files Mib1 & Mib2 but the car will not recognise.

Any ideas?

Just looked at the properties of my SC card which still has the map update files on it - says File System: exFAT

I think it's best to use an empty SD card for the download and definitely do not create any folders for the download.
Thanks for the reply. Re formatted on PC (used Mac before) as exFat. Still no joy. Think I'll go and buy another SD card

I used FAT32 on mine with all the files in the root directory.
Did you have the other 3 files as well as the two Mib folders?
No other files. Any idea how to get the root directory files?

Sorry too much jargon. :) Root means in the top level of the card, not inside any other folders.
It should be like brittan has shown. 3 files and 2 folders.
If not -
1. Quick format your SD card to FAT32.
2. Run the .jnlp file that you get first of all again.
3. Tell the app to download the files to your SD drive.
4. Sit back and wait.

I had the same issue on my mac, I had to format the sd using a windows laptop. To exfat

I then transferred the update file from my mac to the sad and it works ok.

The mac is really temperamental with sd cards for some reason

Isn't it just.

Thanks Brittan and ZephyR for the info.

Solution - Correctly formatted exfat via PC and direct download to SD card
