High me again i have just had my car serviced and previous to the service all was well, since the service my car has started to jerk at higher revs when accelerating normally no issues but once the power kicks in and the car starts to accelerate hard it jerks quite hard and seems a little hesitant. I have done some searching and some say plugs and some have pointed to the coil pack having only had the car a couple of weeks and just getting the jobs done im new to these cars, does anyone else ever had this problem or could anyone possibly shed some light thanks again Mick.

Hi all i have a vagcom and the 1st thing i tried was checking for error codes but their was none, when serviced the plugs were changed i think i will need to check all pipes and have a look at the coil pack to see if any damaged with the change of plugs then go from their i think. I will disconnect the maf and see what happens and get back to you once all the checks have been done, Thanks for the replies it is much appreciated.

You are probably aware, but just in case, there is a coil pack recall that may be applicable to your car. A quick call to Audi with your VIN number will confirm either way. I was real happy to get a free set of coil packs fitted by Audi on a 13 year old TT, even though the originals were running fine. See coil pack recall sticky at the top of the forum main page.

I had similar problems with my 180 but at low revs -more noticeable in 1st, and 2nd when throttling up after gear change.
I went for the coil pack "recall" at Stansted Audi, no change but they did pick out a split (in half!) crankcase breather pipe, which I changed with no effect.
I disconnected the MAF after doing a bit of searching here - Happy Days! running sweet as a nut.
I managed to get a new Bosch MAF rather cheaply (i thought) from a place called buycarparts.co.uk which I'll be popping in this weekend. Delivery took 5 working days as the part came from Germany but I was happy with the price and didn't want to risk a cheap clone from ebay.

Unplugging the MAF has gotta be one of the first things to try, and WAK has a how-to on his site if you have trouble with the clip.

As per Hoggy & others .... my gut feel would be the MAF.
(Had the symptoms you describe on an A4 diesel ... & it was the MAF)

As you have VAG-COM just data log the MAF (block 002) .... see what it's reading at idle & under full load.
