What does it indicate when you get three short beeps from your TT when you start it up ?

I had this problem when I first got mine..... posted same question, someone advised it could be the alarm siren battery going flat. I checked it out with a friend who's an Audi mechanic, and he agreed, its never happened again since that day....

Hope this helps

'Four, four beeps from my Audi TT!' Mwah ha ha..

(in my best 'The Count' from Sesame Street voice)

Will your car be brought to you by the letter 'R' and the number '3' tomorrow? ;)

.. sorry, it must be the 'H' word... ::)

it's not in the manual....

and and AFAIK nobody really knows....

one of the great mysteries of the world.

Justin

P.S. It's happened to me 2 or 3 times in the last 2 years.
That's exactly what Dovercourt Bristol said to me. Apparently they went through loads of troubleshooting and replaced various parts on an S3, but it still did it occasionally, as done mine.

I reckon it could be something related to the battery, as it only seems to happen on mine after I've left it for more than a week.

I got this yesterday and today, both after leaveing the car overnight. so should i just charge up the battery. Funny thing though it's only started happening after i had my dash pod changed :? :? :? lets see what the dealer says

I've been having this happen to me lately as well, since it's not being used as much.

Took into the dealership on Monday/Tuesday, of course it didn't beep while it was there and they couldn't find anything, perhaps take it back to them in June.

Managed to force it to do it yesterday, by turning on the ignition and playing around with the electric windows, sounds like a battery thingy to me.

As has been said before, no one really knows, but my own testing suggests its the alarm module warning of a low battery condition (<9.5v on start, <11.5v ignition on), which could also indicate a wiring problem (poor connection). Every time my car did it (with the previously dodgy battery) one or more of the following ECUs showed a DTC for 'Low battery volts':

Central Locking or Radio or Instrument Panel
00668 Vehicle voltage, terminal 30, Signal too small

Ultrasonic Monitor:
01462 ATA ultra sonic sensor -G209- Power supply Too small/Too large

Airbag Module:
00532 Supply voltage too low
(NOTE: don't VAGCOM the airbag module unless u know exactly what u are doing.... rumour is you can fire the airbags unexpectedly)

But there's not hard documentation to say that this is cause and effect
