i already have apr and know that the 'valet' option is available. i searched for around 20 minutes but couldn't find any way other than apr tuning. i don't have the cruise control stalk though so only a single program.

i'm looking for a way to tweak it like with lemmiwinks or something. i know lemmiwinks can decrease speed limit, but i am looking more for a rev limiter or siginificant speed limiter like to 80km/hr.

Have you asked APR if there is a way of triggering the valet mode without the cruise control stick? e.g. with a Vagcom.

 

hi guys thanks for your help.

apr here are pretty useless, they didn't run a diagnostics check or anything on the car before and after they did the job, i'm pretty sure. i doubt they'd help me research a vagcom related switch for the second program.. however will call them tomorrow (public holiday today).

does anyone know a way through a program like lemmiwinks/ vagcom or other that doesn't involve having to spend money at apr?

thanks for checking up on this mate. i ended up post-poning the spoiler delete for now, and just ordered a cruise control stalk so that apr can program it for me, out of pocket.

in the mean time, i might try lemmiwinks

as far a i know, without a cruise stalk u can only have he single program running ie stage 1 map. not sure they would even load on the extras ie the valet mode if u havnt got a crusie stlak fitted. perhaps try giving Awesome GTI in Manchester a call, they are the APR fitters in my area and are very helpfull.
